- These coins are 999 fine silver, coin weight 1 Troy ounce (31.10g), being one of the favourites and most beloved designs of any United States coinage of modern times.
- The obverse is imprinted with the year of minting, the word LIBERTY, and the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST. The design was taken from the "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph A. Weinman.
- The reverse of the coin is imprinted with the phrases UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR, and E PLURIBUS UNUM (on the banner that the eagle holds in its beak). The design portrays a heraldic eagle with shield and thirteen five-pointed stars designed by John Mercanti.
